Gregory Re-Signed (Soon) (lol signs with Denver)

14 seems like another slight overpay to me considering Preston Smith was just extended for about 13/year.

The fact that it's a 5 year deal though probably means that it's more like a 3 year deal that they can get out of with backloaded years, so we'll see.

Defense should be solid again. All of the key players are back.

The big question mark will be the offense.

Yeah, but only 28 mill guaranteed is pretty good for the team.

Yea we'll have to see the structure, if the cap hits are something like this it's a fine deal:

2022: 7
2023: 12
2024: 15
2025: 17 (can be released here with little to no guaranteed money left)
2026: 19

That would basically make it a 3/34ish deal.

Does he have to learn not to blatantly tackle offensive linemen for that money?

Sounds like he took less to stay.

How much less?

I'd guess not much, maybe 1-2 million/year, I wouldn't be surprised if he was being offered around 15/year by other teams but anything more than that would be pretty outlandish.

Once again, the homegrown guy gets his money.
Homegrown plus reclamation project = stone cold lock for a second contract.

One or two million is pocket change. I'm glad he's back. We invested a lot of time and effort on him.

So, now we have lost two pass rushers to the Broncos.
