Greg Hardy signed...

love getting the player for next season, hate the deal. We still need to draft a DE now in rounds 1 or 2

Yeah, I don't see them being able to sign Dez long term and also re-sign Hardy.

Apparently Romo's 2016 salary drops by like 9 million compared to this years hit, I have no idea what our cap looks like for next year but if we get rid of Carr, and possibly Lee if he can't stay healthy again, you never know. We don't have many huge deals left on the defensive side of the ball after those two and if we make it to the NFCC or further, who knows?

ok, you guys got me. I will slide back into shadows again.

Post more, seriously...and don't let a little ribbing shut you up.

You are cowboydba and it is time for DCC to hear you roar.

When will we know about his possible suspension?

I'm gonna go ahead and consider you partially time-stampwned.

That's a good point. If we make a deep playoff run I'd want to be able to build off it the next year without losing Hardy and having to take a step back.
But our biggest issue going forward though is going to be Romo. At 35 he isn't likely to have too many more years and then it's major rebuild if we can't find a QB.

They will also save 8 mill if Witten is let go next year.

That's too high a cap hit moving forward especially if you think you have drafted his replacement.

The Romo concern is even more reason not to care that this is a 1 year deal. Let's say we have a 3 year window with Romo, we now have Hardy for 1 of those 3, and if it looks like time is running out quickly next year we should just give Hardy whatever he wants to maximize the remaining time left. Then 2-3 years down the line you take your medicine when we will likely be rebuilding anyway.

Yea, him and Witten don't have too many more years left so we should be able to start structuring deals with their cap hits being off the books in mind, about 3ish years from now.

I think Witten either takes a pay cut or he is gone next year it fits everything else they have been doing.
