It wasn't derogatory. It was defending him and blaming it on poor execution by the player.
No, he was being patronizing.
It was a questionable decision to throw from your own 25 with 30 seconds left in the half and no TOs. That's mostly on the coaching.

Schmitty is pointing out that Garrett isn't the only coach that allowed that playcall. Garrett makes decisions consistent with the upper tier coaches but DCC lambasts Garrett as if Garrett's the only one stupid enough to do that as the worst coach evar.

Close, but not quite.

Haskins looks every bit as bad as I thought he would.

Washington TD. Cuts the Philly lead to 3. :towel

Russell Wilson now up to 4 TDs on the day with a TD pass to Greg Olsen.

The Jets are finally showing a little life. Crowder catches a 69 yard TD on a little WR screen.

Hopefully WFT continues to batter Wentz. You’d expect nothing less with all the first rounders they’ve pumped into that line.

Valdes-Scantling drops a pass where he was wide open. Pass was perfect and would have been about at least a 60 yard completion.

The player I feel most disgust watching right now, it's Aaron Rodgers. He's taken the throne from Roethlisberger

From the outside looking in he does come off as a bit of a smug douche.

It's a compliment, too. It's an exercise in futility wishing for bad plays because he's so good, watching him play only serves to put you in a bad mood.

Although, it's compounded because the packers, like the steelers, get benefit of doubt on damn near all the calls.

Wentz really isn't that good. He misses way too many easy passes.
