Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys vs 49ers | 9/7/14

Romo has turned into the modern day Roy Williams with all the finger pointing.

I can see the team turning on him pretty quickly he has never been a beloved leader type, another clunker against Tenn and its in the tank we go.

Guaranteed Romo post game quotes.

It's disappointing....

It's frustrating......

I've got to do better.....

Romo. You put Foles on this team with this coaching staff, he'd be a disaster. Im

Well, Romo was a disaster today. Even if Foles would be a disaster with this coaching staff, he'd at least have enough arm strength to throw a decent bomb.

Referring to on-the-field units/players, I think you could assign, conservatively, 90% of this loss on Romo.

Now, of course, we'll be looking for QBs in the early rounds.

When everyone knows we want one.

Great GMing on display, folks.

I have to say, other than a few burns against our secondary early, the defense played better than I thought they would.

Ah He'll they couldn't have. They are worse than last year. Didn't you get the memo? :art

I did kinda want to bench Romo and that would have been an interesting message, except for this: I think Romo was rusty and needed work. If that's the problem, pulling him isn't sending him a message, it's preventing him from getting the work he desperately needs.

If he's your guy for the rest of the season, I think he needs to play. He needs to get up to speed.

I guess, but foles doesn't have a great arm to begin with.

At least with Romo, I'd have how that he'll return to form.

Im not sure 6-10 is attainable if this is the Romo we have for the season.

Romo will get back to his groove. He hardly participated in TC and was absent in Exhibition games. It caught up to him but he will come around. He is still fighting the anxiety of getting reinjured.

He's definitely not in his groove, but playing him doesn't guarantee he gets back up to speed.

It's probably the only way he has a chance, but it's no guarantee. Sometimes you get skittish and never get the mental state back. Especially as you get older and have taken one too many hits, or you realize you can't rely on your physical skills anymore.

It sure would be nice to have a legit developmental QB to fall back on.

Of course, maybe this means we'll go for broke and get the top QB in next year's draft or something. We'll overpay, of course, according to market prices, but if it's a hit, you really can't overpay at QB.

I'm quite sure he does that most of the time we've questioned the pass playcalls.

Evidently they are going to have to completely take away Romo's authority to check out of a play.
