He is a vet. I'm sure he knows the scheme too. If he's being handed a job, obviously I have a big problem with that, so I'd agree with you. But if we see Jason Witten for more than like 4 plays I'd be shocked. Longer term guys just don't need the reps from this game.

This game is about guys who need the work, mostly young guys.
 
Cole Beasley is not a kickoff returner. Not enough deep speed or tackle breaking ability. FAIL.

I wouldn't necessarily assume Allen's job is safe.

Maybe they feel like they've seen enough of him over the years and they want to take an extended look at the other guys to see if someone is worth keeping over Allen.
 
Looked like Dunbar completely misread that block in pass protection.
 
Slew of TE's, but no offensive or defensive line depth.
