Next year is the last on Free's deal, he'll be 34 next year, he won't be around much longer. Why not re-sign Leary, move either Collins or Martin to RT and see what happens? Even if that doesn't work out we should still be able to trade Leary.

I get that we can't have steak on every plate but there are some huge deals about to come off the books in the next 2 years, namely Carr's and probably Witten/Romo as well. Then when it's time to re-sign Prescott in a few years Leary will be about 31 and Dez, Lee, and Crawford will be 30+ and ready to come off the books.

At guard I absolutely agree. Leary is the better LG.

Personally I think Collins is out of position and would better serve as RT.

He was, but he never showed this kind of ability at LSU. Probably mostly due to poor QB play on their part, but he he wasn't one of the top 2 or 3 WR in the country.
 
Finally watched the game.

Pretty impressed how we could come back from a 14-0 deficit.

It took some patience.

Very nice, he cuts well, sees what he has and takes it. Much better now than against the Giants where he was unsure what to do.

My biggest thing with him is that he seems to always tease some gamebreaking play. When he gets in the open field, he just doesn't finish the job well enough. He seems to be playing too fast, if that makes sense. He will start moving and he gets slung down using his own momentum more than anything else.

I guess that will come and I am not complaining.
 
And one other thing.

I think Prescott has Jedi mind control over refs or they just fucking hate Romo.

That call for roughing by Tartt was his second of the year, which probably matches Romo's career total.

I think you're absolutely right with this statement.

Unfortunately for Roy he came along during the period of time when "box safeties" were being devalued and phased out.

But as you mentioned, had he come alone in the early 90s, I think we'd be talking about him the same way we talk about Woodson.

We were a few years late on the trend at the time.

I can't help but think the exact same thing and it's a nice feeling for once.

Can't wait to see Romo rush back and return to getting zero calls in our favor again. /sarcasm
