The great values on Avril and Bennett are over. Teams saw the impact players like that could make and it is just going to go through the roof.

There will be a few, like Willie Young of the Lions. But I don't think accomplished players like Avril/Bennett last like they did last year.
 
Pretty much. Particularly at DE...last year those two signing so cheap was an anomaly.

I can see why he wouldn't be in demand with 3 sacks in his one year starting and 6 in his career.
 
Ayers is a DE I'd look at...not a great pass rusher, but solid run defender.

If we're cutting Ware he'd be better than nothing. Matt Shaughnessy from Arizona is a guy I'd take a look at if he wasn't too pricy.

Israel Idonije is available again and he could be a short term band-aid, he has history with Marinelli.

Good luck with that. The price tag is bad and even worse is his penchant for blaming blocking when he does not produce.
 
I would bet that after a week or so of free agency we could get a guy like Corey Peters, Pat Sims or Vance Walker who could play an important role but not break the bank.

It would be a neat trick to get Corey Peters since he signed back with the Falcons.

The money Veldheer, Saffold and Albert are going to get is insane.
 
Who in the hell would pay a casualty like Rodger Saffold? The last time he played a full season was his rookie year.
