Most teams are hoarding young talent, and even overpaying them if they have the cap room.

Looks like free agency is getting more and more boring every year.

Agreed, it's probably for the best, once teams blow their cap loads early on there will surely be some decent bargains available, like Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril last year.
 
This can explain why Spencer is getting calls. Healthy players are getting paid so he would be a cheaper option.
