How so? The most carries he had in a game last year was 11. Hell Joseph Randle basically had just as many yards rushing last year as Vereen. I guess you can say I don't get the Vereen love.

His strength is as a WR.

There have been a couple of games over the last couple of years where he took more of a full time tole when Ridley was hurt.

And that's why I basically called him a WR lined up as a RB. His numbers receiving as a RB aren't really anything that overly impressive either in my opinion. I think he has great hands but his moves once he catches the ball are nothing special.

He has 1 career game of 100 yards rushing (Also happened to be that 14 carry game). Maybe it's just because the Patriots don't really use their RBs but I'd say Vereen hasn't come close to showing he can be a full time back. He is a novelty player at this point.

Hell Blount was barely with the Patriots and he had a couple 20+ carry games.

He was huge for Brady this year. I think his stats are skewed too because NE seems to have a different favorite RB every week.

Eli has lacked a true receiving threat out of the backfield for awhile.

I'm not looking at carries, I'm looking at total touches. There's been games where he's had between 15-20 touches. That's a full time load in todays NFL.

Saints just traded Jimmy Graham to the Seahawks? Holy shit.

Seattle just traded for Jimmy Graham.

DAMMIT [/timestamped]

Sounds like the Saints get C Max Unger AND a first rounder. Wow.

@AdamSchefter: Filed to ESPN: Rams close to trading QB Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for Nick Foles and draft-pick compensation, per sources.

I like the trade for St Lou quite a bit...I don't get it at all for Philly. Bradford is brittle and that offense leads to QBs getting hit. Long live Kelly the GM.

This flurry of trades is crazy. Especially considering they are involving names with star power. I don't ever remember seeing anything like this.

I know. It's rare seeing player for player trades, let alone big name for big name players.

:lol

What?

And Ravens pick one spot ahead of us. If we want a DT we'll have to move up, unless Balt. targets a true NT.

The good thing is that this draft class is loaded with 3-technique DTs.
