Florio: Teams should be ready to chase Jason Garrett, too

I'd love to see Garrett turn a playoff win into a chance to stick it to Jerry and leave for a huge payday. Scmitty's heartbreak, Jerry's heartbreak, the collective rage of fans who suddenly love redpube after years of hating him. It would be comedy gold. Won't happen, though. Garrett stayed here instead of going to Baltimore for some reason.

He did accept the Rams HC job though and would be there except for the season ticket holders revolting and them changing their minds and going with Fisher

I seem to recall him interviewing with the Rams but that was when Spagnuola got the job, not Fisher, which leads me to believe that they just chose Spagnuola over him without any fan revolt. Spagnuola was just as green and wouldn't have assuaged any season ticket holders.

That is right it was Spagnuolo not Fisher, but yes, they did hire Garrett first.

Spagnuola had superbowl cred Garret had a complete flameout in the last game.

The fans did revolt why would they not be looking at those two resumes.

But thats probably too painful to remember.

They actually hired him?

I'm not saying you're wrong but I can't find an article confirming that.

They offered the job to him. Then when with all the fan fallout, they pulled back the offer and offered it to Spagnuolo instead.

They announced the hire to the season ticket holders. Friend from college is a Rams fan and he called me when it happened asking about him. I've seen a couple links from local St. Louis reporting it before, think it was posted at the zone too back then.
