If he is, how do we get him away from Minnesota?
Jerry's one hell of a salesman. He may be able to get it done with a wink and a smile....
and 4 million dollars.

Well, that would be everyone's preference.Linehan isn't leaving. Sparano isn't coming back.
I'd love to see Garrett turn a playoff win into a chance to stick it to Jerry and leave for a huge payday. Scmitty's heartbreak, Jerry's heartbreak, the collective rage of fans who suddenly love redpube after years of hating him. It would be comedy gold. Won't happen, though. Garrett stayed here instead of going to Baltimore for some reason.
He did accept the Rams HC job though and would be there except for the season ticket holders revolting and them changing their minds and going with Fisher
When was this?
2009 iirc
I seem to recall him interviewing with the Rams but that was when Spagnuola got the job, not Fisher, which leads me to believe that they just chose Spagnuola over him without any fan revolt. Spagnuola was just as green and wouldn't have assuaged any season ticket holders.

That is right it was Spagnuolo not Fisher, but yes, they did hire Garrett first.
They actually hired him?
I'm not saying you're wrong but I can't find an article confirming that.

They offered the job to him. Then when with all the fan fallout, they pulled back the offer and offered it to Spagnuolo instead.
