Take my risk tolerance with a grain of salt, but equities are hot right now. With Bernanke and the Fed basically buying up long-term debt to keep interest rates low, there's nowhere else for money managers and hedge funds to put all the money.

I'm sure you could find a mutual fund with a basket of some dividend paying large-cap stocks and return 6-8% every 12 months.
