Eagles Stuff....

Are people afraid to start the gameday thread? Let's go.

Start one. Anybody can do it but you need to format the title correctly or Booze and Data will have a fit.

Whenever this team sees outsized success throwing to a RB by design it causes us to culturally seize up and NEVER DO IT AGAIN.

Because that would make us too successful

New coach, new scheme so I guess we will just see if things are different. I don't hold out high hope for Schotty as an offensive play caller but we will see. It's at least going to be different.

He got paid backup money.

That's not backup money in Dallas.

Williams was signed to 1 year about $3 million.

Sanders 1 year, $1.3 million.

Blue signed for 4 years, $4.6 million (about $1.15 per year).

Leupke signed 2 years, $7.5 million (about 3.75 a year), which makes him the highest paid RB on the team both in annual and total value, and also in signing bonus (his signing bonus alone ($5 million) was higher than the total value of the contract of any of our other RBs.)

This'll be an odd comparison, but it reminds of when we resigned Romo before he even took a snap. It was kind of out of nowhere, for more than we would have guessed.

Obviously Leupke has been on the field for us, but he's mostly been an afterthought. This makes me wonder if they plan on giving him more of a role than we would have suspected.

Or, it could just be because he plays special teams.

It's a curious signing to say the least.

Yea I said he might end up being our RB2 until (or if) Blue acclimates when I saw the deal.
