Draft Chatter Thread...

Manziel just does not seem like a Lovie Smith guy, Watkins...or maybe they are going up there should Hou pass on Clowney.

By the way, watch the NFLN program "Caught in the Draft: 1994". They talk quite a bit about the Cowboys trying to get Willie McGinest and the Mel Kiper/Bill Tobin fiasco.

Might as well put this one in the bank.

Glazer is almost always dead on accurate.
A guy I know claims the Browns won't let Bortles get past them. He's a Browns and UCF fan so I don't know if he's just wishful thinking or if he's read anything from them.

I don't get why they wouldn't want Manziel. The owner loves him. He's a perfect fit for a zone based offensive scheme that features play action and needs a mobile QB to function at it's best.

But Glazer has spoken. I can only guess Shanahan's kid saw a fragile Griffin get the shit knocked out of him and it bugs him a bit.

Bortles is the next best fit. Shanahan's offense features rollouts and playaction and Bortles is mobile enough to be better than say, Matt Schaub was at it.

It's not just his mobility, but he's extremely accurate on the move. He could be deadly with a lot of designed rollout throws.

Not just a Lovie Smith guy, but since when does Tedford have free lancers as his QB?

I get how his system cuts the field in half and eliminates a lot of reads which could help one of his supposed deficiencies, but Manziel just does not seem like the perfect fit to play within a system.

Good, because a lot of people had Manziel landing there.

Come on down to 16.

There are alot of rumors about the Bucs trading up to 2 for Manziel, I don't see him getting past 7 honestly.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Rams took him.

If they do, they better indeed have a trade partner to get Bradford out of there. That would be an ugly situation since they have denied the trade talks with the Vikings and have endorsed Bradford publicly.

Hmmm. Diluted urine sample. Drug history. Bad back. What's not to like?

Sounds perfect for Dallas...

Except for the fact that he has all the legitimate physical tools you need in a QB and isn't old.

Some team is gonna be super embarrassed when Bortles walks out to Dixie Chicks.

I bet Goodell dances at least once to some gangsta rap to show how "hip" he is.

Good lord.

I kid Bortles about the Dixie Chicks, but George O'Leary let the players choose warmup songs for spring practices last year and Bortles' day was Whitesnake.

So in short, prepare for awesomeness from him.

Fuck you, Galloway.
