It's not on the refs either, it's on the league. They had a chance to change this retarded, subjective rule years ago after it robbed the Lions of a win.

oh, no. It is way more retarded.

Just because Dez is one on one doesn't mean he's open. And he really wasn't.

That's a much lower percentage play at a time when you couldn't really afford to not convert.

I don't agree and it played out just the way you would want it to. Romo should be faulted for many things over the course of his career, this is not one. Just a few guys wanting to point a finger at someone I guess. Baffling.

Everything about throwing to Dez there was a lower percentage.

Lower chance of a catch by a covered WR as opposed to an open one and lower chance of the right throw being made by the QB 40 yards further downfield.

Like Ace said, Romo needed to make a perfect pass to make this play work and he did. But a smidge higher and that ball bounces off Dez's extended fingers and out of bounds. Then everyone would be bitching at Romo.

Ya, we're just bitching for the sake of doing so. We should really have no problem letting an entire season and the best shot at a championship in 20 years come down to the 40 yard jump ball.
 
Once Romo got the snap, he never looked anywhere other than Dez's direction. Guess he saw something he liked pre-snap and committed to it.

Of course he did, he saw Dez one on one. Nobody dislikes that play in normal circumstances...ever. The only problem to be had now is doing it in this situation.

Exactly. There should be no second guess when the ball was caught. None.

It wasn't a jump ball...it was a perfectly thrown ball that was wrongly overturned by a ref. The ref made the wrong read.
 
Wow I never saw this side of the board.

I don't know how anyone can be upset that Romo picked Dez in that coverage it's giving your All Pro WR a chance to make a play and PI also comes into play.

Was it the safest play no but Beasly was covered at the snap and his guy blitzed and it was a bang bang play he read the coverage correctly and went to the correct guy.

To be bitching about Romo on that play is silly, the defense still had a chance to get the ball back.
 
See what you guys did...Jiggyfly has never been exposed to anything like this.
