That probably wasn't the plan. His bobble of the snap threw the timing of the play off so he just took a shot.

I don't think the play was necessarily meant to be a long throw to Williams. That's just the way things played out after the bobbled snap.

The timing was thrown off for all the intermediate stuff so he just went with the deep jump ball out of desperation.

That's what I think happened. Particularly since Witten's been money at moving the chains on 3rd down.

It should have been a run with him lined up under center, not the fucking shotgun.

If you go under center, you're also getting a favorable matchup against the pass too because they have to respect the run.

In the shotgun? They're gonna take their chances and back off.
