For 6 years we've been praying for an impact S in the draft like a single mom in a Tyler Perry Madea movie prays for a good, God-fearing man.
I had no idea how rich that fucker was...

I'm not that worried about our safeties honestly, I'd like to upgrade but if we can't it's not the end of the world. They maintain the integrity of the scheme and set a physical tone overall. They aren't playmakers or the best in coverage but they're ok.
I'd be much more interested in a true impact LB, but if a safety is there I wouldn't hesitate either.
The elephant in the room is an elite 1-technique talent.
It does not help, but I get what he is saying. Our last drive was flatout greatness. Dunbar, Witten, Beasley, and Williams all made catches and Romo just found the open guy. The OL was excellent and Romo changed blocking assignments to ensure he had time to throw. Just a smooth drive.
Considering the possibility that Dez may miss the vast majority of the year or the whole year, and that he may never be 100% even if he does come back this season, I still love how this team is positioned for the next 2 years.
We aren't in danger of losing any significant players heading into 2016 except for Hardy who we should be able to bring back if we so choose. The entire OL will be in tact, with depth, all of our skill position players are back, the entire front 7 will remain in tact except for McClain potentially, although again, I bet we can bring him back if we so choose, and the entire secondary is under contract. We may release Carr, but I don't think anybody would be particularly concerned with Scandrick/Jones/Patmon/White at CB.
If we just stay the course, have another solid draft, upgrade at RB, add some depth on the DL and hopefully add an impact LB or S, we should be the clear cut NFC favorites along with Green Bay. I think Seattle will slowly degrade as their offense moves away from a run-first philosophy and the huge Wilson deal deteriorates the rest of their roster.
This offense has legit weapons aside from Dez.
If the Cowboys had thought he was going to be out 10-12 weeks, they would have put him on IR designated to return, no?
I've written that off. We won't draft a true run stuffing DT in the first 2 rounds, that's why I casually referenced adding DL depth. Best case scenario we add some guys who can play the run in the mid rounds.
This defense is poised to explode with the addition of this one position. Everyone on the front would benefit directly. The secondary would benefit from a better front. All these retarded LB injuries we keep having would just stop.
This will be a slow burning thread.......8-10 weeks on the charts.
TO had his agent reach out to the Cowboys, huh?
Wow really?
