I went to that 2009 season finale. We weren’t even out of the stadium and we heard DeSean Jackson about the following week’s game “We gone sting dey asses”.

Yeah, that's what I remember about the game too.

I also remember MNF was doing this behind the scenes things that season where they followed a player from Sunday after the game till the following Monday when they were set to play. The week of this game, they were following Shannon Sharpe who on Tuesday morning said: "You see that game last night? Parcells had them ready to play!"

Ah the days of having a real coach.

One of my all time favorites and sadly underappreciated historically.

Super effective, the guy had every skill a WR needs. He and Pearson were the best pairing we ever had, and we had them both from 1977-1983. Today, we can only dream of continuity like that.

This season’s duo might give them a run for their money, at least until the marketplace inevitably separates them.
