Cowboys Nostalgia Thread

Y’all need to stop ruining the spirit of this thread.

I hold an enormous grudge over that.

It's not that I don't have a problem with it, it's that I think its impact is greatly exaggerated.

We held the Packers to a FG there and then on the ensuing drive, Murray racks up 32 yards and a TD to put us up 21-13.

Yes, I would have loved for him to have held on to that ball and put us up 21 to 10. Who knows how things go from there? But the point is, that play didn't cripple us and it didn't serve as some sort of turning point in the game either, and that's why I think its impact is exaggerated.

It's not even in the biggest missed opportunity in that game -- the failed fumble recovery after the TD drive I just mentioned was a MUCH greater missed opportunity.

So yeah, it sucks that he fumbled there but that's not the play that changed the game or cost us the win.

And just for arguments sake, the play that changed the game was the 3rd and 15 that we let GB convert by way of a 46 yard touchdown to Devonte Adams.

Our defense had been so good that year at not giving up third and longs and that was the only one we had given up in that game to that point, but it was THE play that switched the momentum.

Garrett would have found a way to lose that game even without the fumble.
