More electrifying, nowhere near as great.I've always believed Dorsett was better. Much more fluid and faster.
And pants that came halfway to his shoulder bladesWith some big ass shoulder pads.
Hardly. TD was better than that.Dorsett was amazing, but he's Tony Pollard next to Emmitt Smith.
I liked Tony better -- I was a little kid playing running back then, too -- but I can't objectively say he was a better everydown back than Emmitt.
No one ever had better vision than Emmitt. That's why his jump cuts were so damn effective.
Plus durability.Emmitt's vision as well as his ability to be patient and read blocks to allow plays to develop are the best I've ever seen.
Plus durability.
Plus, said it before, but... He had a quickness that for some reason didn't show up on TV but you could see in person.
The way things are going for modern day RBs, his record might be unbreakable. There will never be another Emmitt.

Was there a better pure runner? Sure. Better receiver? Yeah.Because he wasn't.
Emmitt is without question the greatest RB in Cowboys history.
Hell, for my money, he's the greatest RB, period.
Was there a better pure runner? Sure. Better receiver? Yeah.
But Emmitt was the best all around, no doubt in my mind.
Hardly. TD was better than that.
