1978 Patriots at Cowboys.

This is an impeccable remaster. Yeah it is letter box, but it is clear of the VHS buzz.

And it has the commercials from the time.

The game itself was pivotal at the time, with the winner being consider the best in the league at that point in the season.
 
Whoa, that is great quality. That has to be the best I've seen on a game that old.

Also, Pats never should have left those unis.

I have some old VHS tapes in storage some place.

Original recordings of pretty much every single Cowboys game I could record starting with the Johnson era until around the end of the Parcells regime.

Those would be cool to have digitized and cleaned up.

There is a problem.

I will have to find a VCR to watch them all again because I am certain there are a few that are....compromised.

I know for a fact the 1994 NFC Championship Game is. I forgot to set the VCR in advance and I hit record in a panic so I did not miss the kickoff, not realizing what particular cassette was in the machine. :unsure

As a result, that game has porn immediately after I abruptly ended the live recording after the Niners' locker room celebration.

Hold on though, the material is vintage for the era. Could he touch that up too?

I converted ALL my vhs games to DVD around 2004, I have games dating back to 1970, a shitload from the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s, and every game from 2007 to present, all stored digitally. I believe everything I have since ‘05 is HD quality.

Not sure what Volsky can do. I haven’t contacted him yet. He had another channel years ago dedicated to NFL Films music but I believe the league forced him to take it down.

Which is why these videos being up is allowed is puzzling to me. I am glad I can watch it for free.

Their whole operation is run by retards.

NFL Films used to be a gold standard in entertainment but I guess since the Sabols died off, it has transformed.

It bears a striking resemblance like how MTV went from music videos to horseshit reality TV.

I bet there is some guy in charge at NFLN is wondering why the network is not showing a profit and losing coverage.

If they ran vintage games, cleaned up and marketed right, I can fucking guarantee they would make oodles of cash.

Who the hell runs that fucked up operation anyways?
 
Unlike MLB, the NFL will let you post old clips/games without asking you to take it down. You just can't profit from it monetarily.

This is how I think about it.

The last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl, the internet barely existed.

I might have had a cordless phone. Don't recall. But there were no cell phones of course.

If you wanted to get somewhere you either bought a map or tried to figure it out yourself.

I'll be honest, that's the hardest part to wrap my mind around since Google Maps is such a normal part of modern life. I remember the early internet days and printing off directions from MapQuest and all that, but the idea of using a physical map to get where you're going just seems nuts having come up in the Internet age.
