Cowboys Nostalgia Thread

You people are going to make me have to start handing out vacations in this mug.

Fun game. The Falcons back then were like a bit of a clown show, but they had some underappreciated talent in certain areas.

Michaels had to coordinate a clown show of his own with Dierdorf and a senile Gifford, who kept saying "Michael Irving" and would come out with gems like "Scott Case is a great man-to-man defender.".

Fun fact.

Per Dierdorf, Sanders was "Neon Deion".

Was that a thing that preceded Primetime?

I never acknowledged that particular moniker.

He always preferred prime time. The neon Deion thing was pushed when he was in SF.

It was, but Prime was more marketable I believe.

I remember him being both Neon Deion and Primetime when he was drafted. I would guess that Primetime stuck more because Berman heavily emphasized it on NFL Primetime.
 
Yeah, I thought both went all the way back to FSU.
