Cowboys Nostalgia Thread

Whoa, the Mark Higgs and Garth Jax days.

Never was there ever a gayer Parcells tool than that dickwad.

He’d never have made another pro squad were it not for that insane defense giving his squad at least three more possessions per game.

Gayest moment in Super Bowl history is maybe when that guy had a deflection land in his f’ing arms in the endzone.

:lol

Too true. I would post a vid, but everything that is short is on Facebook, which I am not signing into it to get it.

How the fuck do y'all remember specific plays like that from that era?

I loved that game in particular and used to watch it over and over on VHS. Also there was the iconic tipped Jeffcoat interception for a TD, an incredibly clutch 3rd down conversion from Steve Pelluer to Karl Powe (of all people), etc. That was kind of the final hurrah from that group of players. Clinched the division with the W but weren't talented enough to do anything else.

I still have that era shit on VHS somewhere.

That 1985 team had heart.

Honestly though, I think the Giants broke their heart the next year midseason in the Meadowlands, injuring Walker, Dorsett, breaking Danny White's wrist, and drawing multiple consecutive penalties from OL Phil Pozderac that drove us back out of FG range. We still shut down the Giants pathetic excuse for an offense and fielded their punt with a fair catch that let Septien attempt a 60 yard FG uncontested (weird rule you basically never see)-- of course it missed with basically no time left.

That sight of LT and Carl Banks bunning each other on that turf in celebration drove me to turn off the TV.
