Cowboys Free Agency

Apparently the Giants signed Janoris Jenkins for over 12 a year. He's a decent CB but not worth being paid like a top 5-10 CB, but that's what you get in free agency. He also has a tendency to bite eyeing the QB and give up big plays, as he did on Dez's 70+ yard TD in 2014. Like Trumaine Johnson much more than him too but of course they franchised him.

Now the rumor is that they are going to go hard after Vernon, a guy who is more or less a 7-8 sack a year guy, for probably about 14-15 a year.

This is what free agency is, paying good players like franchise cornerstones, neither of these signings would really worry me as far as the Giants go.

Ian Williams re-signed with the 49ers, 5 year deal, him and Rubin were two of my top DT choices.

I still like Jaye Howard and Kendall Reyes, Howard would be more expensive but he'd be one of my top targets at this point, would be quite happy wit Reyes too though.

Osemele's 12 per year deal gives us a preview of what we'll be paying Martin in 2-3 years. Curious to see what Irvin got from Oakland, I'm guessing he got overpaid being a "pass-rusher" when he really is only an average at best pass-rusher

Thank God the Redskins took Colt McCoy back.

Bullet dodged.

Sounds like the Chargers will sign Travis Benjamin, kind of surprising since they don't usually get involved this early in the FA frenzy.

Also, is Jenkins really that much better than Amukamara?

Less injury prone for sure but I don't see a huge difference between the two.

Some of these numbers are just astounding. Makes you think Miller at 6 a year is a good deal.

Apparently Chris Long has a visit with the Cowboys next week.

I bet this is bullshit too.

Reports are we are bringing in Matt Moore for a visit.

Archer is getting bombarded with Joe Fans questions on Twitter.

We are getting lapped!!!!!!

It's nice to see that we're doing and nothing. So that's totally promising. :art

You just can't ask for more than this blistering white hot kind of action.

Matt Moore isn't a bad backup. And, because of his age they'd never view him as Romo's successor which means QB is still in play at 4. :tippytoe
