Leave it to Dallas to go 5-0 in the division but need to go 6-0 just to make the playoffs.
 
I think Schwartz was just fbombing the crowd booing his decision to run the clock out and go to overtime.

Lions lose 5 of their last 6 to miss the playoffs.

Maybe we can hire Jim Schwartz and give booze an aneurysm.

Seems flimsy reasoning to me. We lose next week, same result. Or if Eagles lose tonight, today's win is moot when it comes to playoff race. Either way, I'd prefer to beat the Redskins.

Now if I knew Jerry would back off and hire a premiere HC next then I'd be more concerned. But while I want Garrett gone I have zero confidence we'll get anything other than another puppet for his replacement. And good chance his fate will be sealed next Sunday.
 
My "heartbreak" jibe at DCU notwithstanding, I think we win next week. That's the problem.
 
Hopefully Dallas can get Stafford after he flames out in Detroit. He needs to get out of there before he is Lionized and becomes another Scott Mitchell.

Guess the skins won't be getting a 1st rounder for him off this game.
 
What the hell has happened to Bernadeau the last 4-5 weeks? While not great, he's actually looked serviceable lately. He made a great block on the final TD, allowing Romo to step up to his right and find Murray.

Problem? I will worry about coach shuffles after the season and the playoffs. Jones has already made up his mind about what he plans to do. I will take another win in the mean time thank you very much.

Why? He is the same as Romo. Flames out in December and January.

I see. I thought you considered it a foregone conclusion we lose next week which would deem this week irrelevant. Anyway, if we win next week, great....we would've done what we've needed to do for the last few years. And it's not like I think Jerry will give Garrett a longterm extension. We stink it up next year and he'll likely be gone then.

That said, never overestimate us in a do or die situation against a team above .500.
 
Interestingly there appears to be no Sunday Night football game next week. I knew they dumped the final week's MNF game so as not to disadvantage a team heading to the playoffs. But since we played do or die games on Sunday night the last two years didn't realize there wasn't a final week one this year. I suppose if our game is flexed, which it probably will be, then it'll only move from 1 ET to 4:25.
 
The Lions have now lost six games they led in the 4th quarter.

Even the Cowboys laugh at that.
