Cowboys at Giants | Week 12 Gameday Chatter Thread | 11/24/13

I think Carter was good...he just was a part of a really bad play.

I agree with this. He made some good tackles and was at least decent in coverage.

I can't root for them to lose. They're screwed no matter what, so I try to enjoy any success that's stumbled upon.

Not really. He blew a few other plays where the Giants were running it up the gut. Made a good play on a screen, but overall a pretty average to below average game.

Cowboys want Dez Bryant to be judicious

IRVING, Texas – On a few occasions in his first four seasons the Dallas Cowboys have had to have a conversation about his physical style after he makes the catch. The coaches will remind Bryant about it again this week.

Bryant lost a fumble in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 24-21 win against the New York Giants and missed a chance for a first down in the first half by trying to run through defenders instead of by them.

“I think that’s the physical manifestation of the passion,” coach Jason Garrett said. “He ain’t going down. He needs to understand that he needs to catch the ball and go north and south and just get what he can get sometimes. He seems to want to fight everybody, and he seems relentless in his nature not to go down, and that’s a great trait. But we’ve got to keep channeling that trait.”

In other words there is a time and place for everything.

But Garrett lauded Bryant’s game, especially the ability to bounce back from a drop that led to an interception and the fumble to make plays when it mattered most, coming up with three catches from Tony Romo on the game-winning drive.

“I thought it was a really important game for Dez,” Garrett said. “ … I just thought he played the right way with the right demeanor. He was there for Tony, made the plays over and over again and got us in position to score.”

So, we want Murray to fight for more yards, but Dez to not. Garrett has no clue what he's doing.

The OL played pretty decent except for Leary. He was not very good.

Dunbar screens were nice, but I wish he'd get a few carries.

I see a quick guy picking up yards on a play that hasn't worked well in the past.

Running game needs a chance, dammit!

Eli face never gets old.

He is such a spoiled little shit. I love seeing him in agony. I can't believe him and Peyton came from the same loins.

This is correct. He had a few bad plays. Bernadeau had a couple. Frederick vs Cullen Jenkins. Did Frederick think he had help with Leary on those? It looked like he passed him off thinking Leary was sliding over.

Just watched the Myers TD again. Carter claims he thought he was out of bounds. Whotta idiot.
