It might just be a bunch of drunk idiots. This shows a bit more at the beginning, but nothing at the end. Haven't found anything in print that talks about what happened.

 
Yeah, I definitely think he was just drunk now. He had to hold on just to get to the bottom of the stairs.
 
Apparently, they were a group of Russians that were boozing together. Further digging shows that like the woman that took the shot to the head and didn't fall, Russians are impervious to being smashed in the head with shovels. Must be something in the vodka. :lol

 
Those crazy Russians. Most of them have dash cams in their vehicles, too.
