Depends what you are used to. Obviously you prefer one regional style over another usually if you've grown up eating it. Doesn't matter where you are from.

Oh, I don't disagree with the regional thing. We just got it right.
 
But, to be fair about the White Castle thing. We have Whataburger, and Whataburger > White Castle.

The South has more gross food, but more delicious also.

Yankee food is all about playing it safe.
