Shit definitely happened in college, it seems the family was conservative and this kid, surprise surprise, was indoctrinated.

It's heartbreaking on one level because you can see on facebook (mom's profile is still up) they seem super close and loving. You never know what's happening behind the scenes but this is clearly the case of the kid becoming radicalized at school.
