BBQ Thread

My old shitty gas grill is dead and I am not going to replace it.

I am now considering a pellet/smoker combo or a Blackstone.

Convince me of one or the other.

My pellet came with a griddle insert as well.

At first I thought you were joking, but I see not. I was not aware they put the name on outdoor cooking products also.
Love my Cuisinart.

I will check it out. About five hundred at Wally World plus 10% discount.

I am still intrigued by the Blackstone. Is it just because it is trendy?
My brother brought his to the beachhouse last year. It did great cooking burgers, fajitas, breakfast but he did say it was a pain in the ass to keep clean and oiled

I see. I am terrible at preventative maintenance so maybe it is not worth the trouble.

Remember when I said it was a pain in the ass to clean up after using it and got roasted? Yeah, me too.

I love my Blackstone, but it takes some work to clean after you use it to make sure it is ready to go for next time. Especially breakfast and getting all of the egg crap off of it.

I own a Pit Boss pellet grill. It didn't include a griddle.

Personally I never understood the allure of griddles. Aren't they basically just oversized skillets?

Griddles are just oversized skillets, but they're invaluable when you have to cook like 40 burgers at the same time.

I am going to smoke a butt tomorrow. First time brining one though.
