BBQ Thread

Pay close attention to the beginning of the last sentence of mine you quoted.

No need to even reference it. But I think you meant the next to the last sentence. I had a pretty good feeling that the "don't give a shit" sentence would be your response since you had already given it.... :p

I feel sorry for all of the losers in the world that do not have a big green egg.

My neighbor has one, but only uses it for grilling steaks and hot dogs.

Meanwhile I smoke brisket, ribs, butts, chickens, etc like a mother humper on my little Weber.

Skill over tools, biznatch.

Skills plus tools. Dare is say G.S.M.?

I'm sorry but the BGE is a really amazing tool. Combine that with the DigiQ and an iPhone and I can smoke, monitor temp and adjust on the fly from anywhere in the world.

I can put a butt on and smoke it for 17 hours without every opening the lid. I've done it many times.

You're doing it ghey.

Possibly but I'll put my results against any amature smoker. I wont argue that I'm some sort of wizard. It is all about the process. :unsure

The automated process?

I guess it does leave more time for doing nails and plucking brows. :ez

Come on, adding air is all it is. The temp falls, turn on the fan for a sec. Being able to see it from somewhere else is pretty neat. Plus, as Smitty once said, I am rich. I'm a thousandaire broskie. I've got more money that Vince Young.

The more grilling you do by iPhone app, the further your manhood smolders into a cold grey smoke.

You should have seen how complicated it was to get the thing working. My friend is a network engineer that helped. It took him a good 30 minutes just to figure the thing out. Now I can monitor via iphone or any computer.

I'm a sys admin, but this sickens me a great deal.

It may be time to start a "Virtually BBQ'ing Thread".

I bet my meat tastes better than your meat.

:unsure

:tippytoe

I'd put my meat up against yours any day.

Wait...

Not to interrupt you guy's swordfight.......

But what are y'alls thoughts on BBQ sauce? Sauce or no sauce?

For those that use sauce, what kind do you like? Any particular brands?

I'll use Stubbs Spicy if I'm not investing the time to make my own.

KC Masterpiece

Sweet Baby Ray's

That is if I am making wet ribs or chicken with my vastly superior smoker.

Stubbs is definitely the best (not even to mention that Stubbs got his start here in Lubbock), but I will also use Sweet Baby Ray's in a pinch.

Same here, if I'm not taking the time to make my own I use Stubbs or Sweet Baby Rays
