That's great, but now he has to start the process of shedding the other label, and that starts this Sunday.

He's been outstanding this year, but all that good work goes to shit if he goes out on Sunday and throws 3 picks. He's got to continue on playing like he has, and I think he can.

It's his moment.

I feel it too. Wonder if that dirty fuck tries to pull some shit after winning his appeal.

Wow.

Does this mean Weeden should be graded on a curve?

What makes somebody even ask that question?

I remember pat bowlen exclaiming 'this ones for john' when the Broncos won in 1997.

This is how I feel for romo this year. I really want one for him for all the bs he's had to endure throughout his career.

Interesting. Defense is definitely a much higher need. Of course you want to take BPA especially when drafting late in the first. On the other hand until this year Murray has had durability issues. With the load he's been carrying I have a hard time seeing him stay healthy while repeating his performance of this year.

Then on the other hand, even though it may be wise to look for a replacement for DM, not sure if taking one in the 1st is necessary. DM was a 3rd rounder, L Bell went in the 2nd round. But I would hate seeing us draft on need and end up with a Shante Carver/Ekuban type DL and pass on Gordon only to see him lighting it up for years to come.

Kind of along the same lines...but I find it interesting that Denver is now trying to do with Manning what we have done with Romo all year long. Rely on the run game and limit his attempts.

I just really have a hard time taking a RB in the first round. Not sure Gordon even lasts until our pick in the first but if he does I'd still have a hard time taking him. It's just soo easy to find a really good RB in the second or third round who will look great running behind this offensive line. Plus a RB's curve in the NFL is generally short lived. I don't like taking guys in the first round who I view as basically a 5 year player for our team.

Goddammit I hope we at least get to the NFCC.

Detroit is the one matchup I was most concerned about. They can both stop the run and throw deep, counters to our strength and biggest weakness.

AT&T stadium offers up perfect passing conditions for Megatron to showcase his talents on the national stage.

So this comes down to heart. Dez, Romo, and the defense have to step up and play like they want to win. I know Murray will bring everything he has, but it won't be enough, at least not for the first 3 quarters or so.

5 years is a really long time. Maximizing the Romo-window that's been levered open a few more inches is worth the sacrifice, especially if the talent is there.

If Gordon is better than any DT on the board, how could a GM justify taking the DT anyways? It would be like drafting Lawrence this year-- force fitting a need from a talent pool that couldn't support it.

Dude brought zero impact, actually negative impact considering he cost us a roster spot and two players, one of them a starting guard.

So yeah, I'd take Gordon over Marcus Spears or Mike Patterson any day.

one of them a starting guard.

He wouldn't have started a day here in Dallas this year. Most people probably would have been calling it a wasted pick at this point.

Is Gordon going to be better then Murray was this year? If not it kind of seems like a lateral move. Don't get me wrong, I really like Gordon and think he is an absolute stud. Still wish he would have gone to Iowa like he originally committed. Any time I'm picking in the first round though I want a cornerstone player. Someone like Dez Bryant who will absolutely deserve and get a second contract. I have a hard time seeing that with a RB.
