This is the first time he has come out and said it though. Would have rather had this attitude long ago. I've hated Jerry for a long time but I will admit that it does seem like some stuff is finally sinking in that thick skull of his.

That's why I gave the golf clap. It could just be lip service or maybe (just maybe) he might have turned a corner and will put winning first finally. We will see.
 
Like I have said many times over and over...he has always wanted to win, just did not know how.

It's our end-of-season Gurode/Columbo type injury that happens in competitive years and usually fucks us because we have no depth.

This year we might be able to weather it.

Not that worried about Free. Not because I have faith in Parnell either. He is just the weakest link. Now Martin? Yeah, that would be crushing.

I've come around on Free. I didn't want to admit it, but there was a dropoff when he was out. Parnell should have come in fresh and mowed his guy down late vs Philly, but he was average. I know Philly has an Arizona-class DL, but it was disappointing.

I am the same...Free is not awful in this structure.
 
Free is acceptable when he's the fourth or fifth best player on your line and he's not playing like a turnstile like he did that one year.

I shudder at the memories, but I think the re-dedication to the running game has been just what he needed to exert his will on the game.
 
I am beginning to worry about Free, he might be breaking down Physically.

This is the second year in row he has missed time with injuries.

It's incredibly close, but Shields was great for longer, judging on peak value Allen was a monster. Shields is more like a Randall McDaniel. He just was a pro bowl quality player every year no matter what.

Allen got fat and lazy and didn't give a shit after his injuries in 2002.

I have some weird opinions on players. To this day I think the best LT to ever play football was Willie Roaf.
