You never know. Giving up a huge play to the running game could've easily affected their defensive play calling. I think a little more respect for the run would've paid large dividends into the 4th quarter.

True but the what if can also be asked about a myriad of things in that game. My biggest one is what if the defense had played more aggressive at the onset. There are probably several'more to be raised as well not to mention the controversial catch (non cratch) of Bryant.

I agree with you to some extent. I felt that one good blitz dialed up at the right time could have killed a crucial drive and put Green Bay away, it was clear they didn't consider drawing one up.

We weren't exactly a power house blitzing team especially considering we had a lot of plan Cs at LBer at the time. I'm pretty sure the best QB in the league would have called our sauce weak and scored TDs.

Well, either you have the defensive mix to win a game or you don't have the talent. I can't hate too much in any case but one big play could have made a difference. I think some people go after a gimped QB but Dom Capers was on the other sideline and he didn't have much for Seattle, so maybe it doesn't matter much who is coaching wither side of the ball.

Peppers got off his block and jumped back into the play grabbing the football/Murray's right arm. Given how fast that play developed I thought it was remarkable. I think Murray thought he had smooth sailing and that Peppers had been taken out of the play entirely.

I feel like we ran a "bend-don't-break" style defense, which held the Packers offense back for a little over half the game. Obviously we were very very close to winning that game without a heavy blitzing game plan as we had won 13 already. We had multiple big defensive plays, including 2 sacks. But none were as big as Peppers' strip.

The fact of the matter is that Rodgers came out of the locker room after half time with some of that good shit to dull the pain, and started playing like Aaron fucking Rodgers. This guy could beat the shit out of way better defenses than ours. We failed because we didn't take advantage of the opportunities we had on offense while the Pack were spinning their wheels for 2/3rds of the game. The Murray play was by and large the most significant wasted opportunity.
