Archer: Five Wonders - The runner or the line

Possibly so but with as much riding on a game I would think they would want him to get as many reps with the starters as possible. If I were a coach that's the way I would want it if I knew Murray wasn't playing.

Those guys are part of the team and do practice with them. PRACTICE squad players...

It's not like they just sit at home while the team owns their rights.

But they don't practice with the starters do they? What 're you doing up so early?

Yes, they practice with the whole team, and the coaches can plug them in with any unit during practice.

I guess things have changed. They used to play with the rest of the squad at their position and also help emulate the next opponent.

Yeah, they fully take part in practice and can participate in whichever unit the coaches want them to.

And I'm up early every morning.

True, but imagine if a guy like Randle goes 20-75 yards against a weak Colt run D. Jerry will think he is a competent starter and go into next season thinking that.

I don't know that even Jerry is that stupid, but some positive comments about him from the media scare me. If you string together John Randle's best runs the effect can sway someone who hasn't actually watched him play.

That's why I'm glad about the underwear thing. Not even Jerry can sell a marquee player who is compelled to steal his underwear.
