Kevin Sherrington just had an article yesterday where he said he thought McClain would come back. I don't think anyone knows anything right now
 
All of the recent sensibility coming from the Joneses has me thinking it is time for someone to freak out. Surely they aren't going to practice this much self control forever, right? I say it's time to move up in the first and take rhe best CB.

Broaddus is saying the same thing. As is David Moore. I hope it's not true, but it sure is looking like he might not be back.

Certainly not in the cost it would take to move between!

If I think there are 18 blue chippers and the next 20-30 prospects are the next tier, then from a talent standpoint it's like Dallas is picking in the middle of that second pool. Ten picks up and they are in the first pool, while ten picks later they are still in the second pool

They are probably very close, though, within a couple of players. Bottom line is the player at 27 is much more like the player at 37 than he is the player at 17. According to the Seahawks, after 18 there's a cliff. I doubt there's a cliff between 27 and 37.

Simp, I can't imagine a world where Goldman or Gordon are still there at 27, let alone 37. I don't like Gordon, but I'd snap Goldman up in a hurry if he's there at 27. I can imagine the Patriots replacing Wilfork with him, and I'd rather not face Suh, Darius, Edwards, Richardson, Wilkerson, AND Goldman this season (though after the first few Goldman is kind of an afterthought).

I think you'd be very surprised by the number of players that go in the top 10-15 of the draft that aren't rated as first rounders by the Cowboys.

I'd be really surprised if both Gordon and Goldman were gone at 27.

Where else is he going? Who else is beating down his door? I'm sure he's holding out for a sucker like San Fran to hand him a multi-year deal, but after barely practicing all year and ending the season injured, the best he's going to get is a one-year or only nominally multi-year deal for a couple-mil.

Speaking of our injury prone players, now that we've signed Hardy and since Selvie has gone to the Giants I'd be happy to bring back Spencer on a one-year deal. I don't believe he can last a full season, but he can pitch in while Hardy serves whatever suspension the league throws out there.
