A Personal Update…

Hang in there, boozer. We know what a tough old bastid you are, but if you ever need to talk to friends don't hesitate to let us know.

Just remember that positive thoughts, visualizations, etc. are very important in this. And I won't try to sell you everything here, but please look into a low carb diet to combat cancer. Cancer cells live on glucose.

Anyway, we're your biggest fans here, man. You can beat this. Thinking of and, yes, praying for you.

Jeez, I somehow overlooked this thread until just now. Sobering news indeed, and kinda puts football in perspective. Two members of my immediate family received a Stage 4 diagnosis but are still alive and kicking, so think positive. Sounds like you have a solid support system at home ... and right here.

I only know you from messages here on this board but I remember waaaaay back in the day seeing that Bukowski avatar, and thinking “What kind of twilight zone cowboys message board have I stumbled across?” I always enjoy reading your posts. Then and now.

Not good with pep talks, but I’m sending good vibes and prayers your way. It’s tough to keep a good attitude when the shit gets tough, but I believe the mind can do some powerful things, if you can get in the right place. Thank you for sharing this with us, I don’t know if I would be strong enough to do that. Keep us updated, sir!

I have not let on but I have been battling what I thought was a several dental issue since mid-July, but it is a lot more than I bargained for.

After a lot of tests, scans, uncertainty, and waiting for answers, I’ve received some difficult news: I’ve been diagnosed with cancer. Specifically of the jaw. It is Stage 4, but has not metastasized yet.

This is not the news anyone wants to hear, and there’s still a lot ahead of me. I’m taking things one step at a time and focusing on what I can control—getting the right treatment, staying positive, and doing everything I can to fight this.

I know there will be difficult days ahead, but I also know I don’t have to face them alone. The support, prayers, encouragement, and kindness from family and friends mean more to me than I can put into words.

I’ll share more as I know more. For now, I’m asking for your prayers, positive thoughts, and continued support as I begin this next chapter.

I’m ready to fight.
God damn, man. Just read this. Holy shit, dude. If there is anything I can do to help, just let me know.

Well, except cheer for Jaunyeh the Retard. I won't do that.

I’ll be praying for you daily, brother. I’m so very sorry to hear this, but you have the right attitude, and that matters so much. I’m hear if you need to vent or talk. Please keep us updated.

I'm glad you moved the thread, Booze. Now you can see how hard this group of guys supports each other. Gay or not, this is a family. If they haven't already made it crystal clear just know you have this family's absolute and unequivocal support. Please don't hesitate to lean on it.

To me, this is undeniable fact. I am 1000% confident in my belief the brain can heal what medicine sometimes can't sometimes. Call it a holistic hippy ideology if you want, but I believe that in my soul.

Jesus.

Get better dude.

I wish you best boozeman.

I've only "known" you for about 20 some years over an internet message board, but shit like this still feels like a gut punch.

You got this, and I look forward to another 20 years plus of anger, grouchiness, double posting, and good football insight.

Yes, dbair owns it now. The previous owner was a Seahawks fan who neglected it.
Doomsday, Scot, Yimyammer, icup, Dodger12, etc. I'm only 4,000 posts behind a guy who hasn't posted since 2014.
