Being the second deuce on his college team couldn't have warmed him too much to the number, right?

Yeah I don't even know his history with 2 beyond he wore it in hs and college. He may want some number I'm not even thinking of besides 13. From that 105.3 interview last week, they asked him is the number issue done and put to rest and he said, "I'm wearing 13 right now, let's just say that" and then he laughs.

Maybe, but we'll see. I don't remember hearing this kind of praise for Dennis Houston or Fehoko or some of the other WRs. Dennis Houston was more that he was smart, learned the playbook very quickly, and Dak could trust him to be in the right spot. This guy seems to actually be beating everyone.

Plus, who do we have after Turpin? A bunch of total spares.

Oh the tradition has been going on far longer than that. But hey, once upon a time Miles Austin was the one who worked out. But since 2006 there have been far more Kevin Ogletree's then players that stuck around for more than a year or two.

But at the end of the day, we have 3 WR's. After those three it's kind of a crap shoot. Turpin is a lock for a role but I've never really viewed him as a WR. And so whoever wants to take the other one or two spots has to be really good at special teams and hopefully has potential to develop at WR. I'm not a fan of Mingo at all. Not a fan of MVS either. So sure, I'm rooting for a Holden, Brown, Smith type to fill that role and at least give us a cheap WR for depth for the next few years.

I'd be far more excited had we drafted Elijah Sarratt or Bryce Lance instead of Drew Shelton but we can't go back in time and change that one.

Trust me, my hopes aren't that high on this guy. Odds are he's nothing. But sometimes when the praise is this strong over this many different observers, there's actually something there. Nate emphasized that he was dominating -- not just playing well but dominating -- the second and third stringers of the Rams. And Nate isn't one of the hyperbole guys.
 


Looking at this, it appears they finally are putting the squeeze on Schooerpooner (trade him to Fat Mike), some scary stuff from the reserve OL, bad QB play, show off Downs for a few plays and an interesting gambit with the DL group.

And Trikweze better be hurt.

Yeah, everyone I've heard at camp thinks Hyphen has passed the Pooner.
