2026 Training Camp Thread...

I still have my doubts that they really actually work.

Yeah I have no idea. But I guess they can't really cause much harm at a practice. And even if it doesn't protect the player wearing it, I have to imagine it protects the player they are hitting from the abuse of having that hard shell strike them. So again, doesn't feel like much downside during a practice.

Now in a game, I think there could be some downside to wearing one. Especially for a defensive player who is trying to inflict punishment on the offensive player.
 
Schotty had praise for Eze, Thompson, Elijah Clark, and Drew Shelton today. Shelton was on right side, but said for a rookie on his first day he was impressive. (But then said he won't get as much work as the rest until preseason, which seemed a little odd.)

Won't read too much into it, but better than hearing nothing. Though I'm kind of hoping the second year guy from Oregon takes a jump also.

Edit. forgot he said Barham did well also.
