So practice starts Thursday? What the hell are they doing yesterday and today then?
You know these days they have to have a break in period where they run around a little doing nothing so they don't get hurt. :rolleyes

So what do we think is a fair trade for Crosby if they are indeed trying to revisit that?

Garrett went for two 1's (a 2027 1st plus Verse, who is effectively a 1 in my mind), a 2028 2nd and 2029 3rd, Parsons went for two 1's and Clark, so a bit less than Garrett.

Crosby is roughly on Parsons' level, not quite as good as Garrett of course, but you have all the weird injury shit with the Baltimore situation. Obviously Baltimore gave up two 1's for him but that can't be the price at this point.

I think a 2027 3rd and 2028 1st is probably fair, if we can get him for anything less that'd be a clear win. I'm just thankful that they literally can't trade away a 2027 1st for him, so it has to be 2028 one way or the other.

I mean, that's what practice will be once it starts Thursday. It's non contact for a week per the rules.

I'm saying, what are they doing TODAY? It seems like nothing. Finding their lockers and their dorms?

Why can't we trade away a 27 first?

I'd like it to be for just one first; you can perhaps leverage the fact that he already had a trade fall through for injury concerns.

I don't really love the idea of trading firsts for 29 year olds at all, I'd rather pay more for a 25 year old.

Because the Jets get the higher of our 2027 1 and the Packers 2027 1, and we can't trade the other until that's sorted out as far as I remember it being reported at the time.

Even if that wasn't the case I wouldn't give up a 2027 1st and be left without one next year given how strong the class is, so to me a 2028 1st and another pick would definitely work.

I would assume we can make the trade for "whatever first rounder is left," if the Raiders are willing to take that.

Frankly I'd probably rather give up the 27 first because I know it's likely to be a weak pick, since it's definitely whichever one is worse is the one that remains to us.

The uncertainty of where we might finish in another year is worth more to me to keep, probably, plus that year is a year closer to possibly needing a Dak replacement.

There's also the fact that I would expect us to be pretty damn good this year, especially if we add a pass rusher, making that 27 pick near the end of the round.

Logically that would make sense although I think that's what was reported after the Quinnen trade.

If they can indeed give up the pick I'd only do that given how strong the 2027 draft is expected to be, no other additions, just the 2027 1.

I think I'd rather spread it out if we could with a 2028 1 and 2027 3 though, as opposed to the straight 2027 1.

I'd rather do the 2027 1st and the 2028 3rd, if I have to give up two picks.

I think it's like the first day of OTAs... run around doing some drills with no pads on. I don't know if they even have their helmets on.

Basically all show.
