I have not seen a thing but have read the chirping.

Actually that Dennis Houston thing is a great award. Remember we were so down, he actually made the roster and lasted a couple weeks.

I think he even started as WR3 the first week, then like a month later was off the team.

He’s apparently slow with straight line speed which is what caused him to fall in the draft but has unreal short area acceleration.

That's what I read also and kind of what Machota said... Not that Brown was straight line slow, but that he had good burst.

I know Machota is no scout, so maybe he's just totally wrong. But he at least seems objective, not a cheerleader, and has been around many years now. And he said Brown was by far the best of the mass of WRs after Turpin, that it was obvious and not close.

I would guess it's Smith.
 
Malachi Lawrence apparently has been invisible recently. I’m not convinced that we have a huge hit there, this may be more of an Anthony Spencer situation.

We're two weeks in and he's always been a bit of a project, I never expected an instant starter. If he gives us like 4-6 sacks in a rotational role this year that's a win.
 
The DL coach, the guy from Georgia, gave an interview yesterday and even reading between the lines I thought it sounded positive. This is a totally new defense for Lawrence, but he's a sponge, is attentive and learns well, and the first step and athletic ability is there. Didn't sound like coach BS-speak to me.

And FWIW, I will still die on the hill that Anthony Spencer was a pretty darn good player for #26 or whatever overall as a strongside edge. You can't expect a LT-Garrett-Micah-Ware talent down there.
