I'll say it again but that was absolutely the right call.

Nowadays everyone seems to want to be all aggressive all the time but as we saw the game play out some safe plays were warranted there, you don't want to give them life when they're an offense on life support but still a formidable defense. The one pass they threw was almost a pick 6 and people wanted them to be aggressive on that drive?

Know your opponent.

Yeah, it's hard, we have become so accustomed to a piss poor defense that it feels like we have to keep the pedal to the metal on offense at all times. I didn't love the give up call there at the time. But in hindsight that shitbird Philly offense couldn't get a big play to save their lives. The conservative approach in that situation makes sense.

Against a good team, not so much.

I think that was a little conservative, but in general I agree. People are mad at the coach, so now every tiny thing has to be scrutinized with an electron microscope. I don't think that call was that bad. Not everything has an absolutely right or wrong answer. Sometimes either is okay.

The worse call was burning way too much clock before the first half. That's a trend now too, though - - coaches being too fine in trying to score and not leave any time left, so they cut it too close. Looks great when it works, but I'd say just try to score the TD first and worry about that later, especially with such a poor offense on the other side.

Again, listen to the pc -- there's nothing wrong with it. Schottenheimer wasn't as expansive as usual, but then he usually talks too much. He should be this way all the time. Not like he was a huge dick to the media. And even if he was, who really cares?

Just more non-football drama.
