At this point I think comparing him to Garrett is disrespectful of a guy who managed to win a few playoff games and get the 1 seed one year.

He's on the Campo tier until further notice.

The biggest issue with Garrett, and the reason he's still my most hated, is because he was a massive weasel that knew how to sweet talk Jerry into giving him a 8th chance every time he pissed down his leg.

But I think Schottenheimer might actually be a worse HC.

I think he's worse than Campo too being as he was handed one of the least talented rosters in team history.

Schotty has been handed multiple pro bowl players and doing a worse job with them.

That's honestly what they should do.

Promote Pettine to interim HC and play the season out and perform a real search in the offseason.

They haven't done a real HC search in years, maybe decades.

I don't count McCarthy because they basically just decided on him and did a few sham interviews, but obviously I'd take that end result over the slop shit that led to Schottenheimer.

Before that it was Garrett who was promoted from interim, before that we're talking 20 years ago with Phillips.

Sure, but what I'd really like is doing a regular HC search the way literally every other team does.

Flores really should be the guy, he has the top ranked defense with a depth chart that is worse than ours, maybe significantly so, and he did a pretty decent job in Miami without much talent.

I remember hearing Adams during the offseason talk about how they really focused on trying to build a better screen game, which is telling considering how god damn terrible they are running screens.
 
I'll say this, I think there's a chance Schottenheimer will get the boot at some point because it's just that terrible, in a year where Jerry truly believed we could make a run.

Sometimes he talks bullshit to hear himself talk, but I believe he actually believed that this team could do something. I don't think they'd be running around making trades like they have if they didn't believe it.

If we lose next week against whoever the Eagles are playing at QB I think that might be the final straw.

Besides that, I could easily see it happening at the end of the year if we go 7-10 or whatever.
