This is exactly why this team is cooked until Jerry is gone at the very least.

Stephen has done a lot to change how we draft, and it's made a significant difference, but he can't do anything to change this demented pathological need Jerry has to hire cheap, weak HC's who have little to no leverage or desirability.

It all stems back to Jerry's ego in regard to Jimmy.

I have no idea how Stephen will approach HC hires but it can't be any worse than this, and given what he's done to empower guys like McClay I'm cautiously optimistic he'll be normal about it.

I think you're giving "Stephen" too much credit. I'd bet he's on board with not paying market value for coaching.

That means:

2.9 targets, 2.6 receptions, 28 yards. Per game.

He's averaging giving up about 2 or 3 catches and 28 yards per game and someone is calling him a "bust"?
