Because I hate myself, I listened to that interview.

That question about cost really irritated him, you could tell by the tone of his voice. Good.

When asked about the age-old question about his needing to get credit (re: hiring a big name coach), all he said was that when he bought the team, he knew it was all on him, and he was buying an occupation, not an investment. (So absolutely no answer to that question.)

Asked about the midseason Wade firing and really went on about how he regretted it and how much he respected Wade. I think he realizes now he was duped by Garrett's flaming red hair. Too bad Wade is too old, because it almost sounded like he'd love to have Wade back now.

Maybe worst of all, he said he'd still be a buyer, no chance of selling this year. Explained to us rubes how the compensatory system works, how if you give a 3rd for a guy and he leaves in free agency, you might get a 4th back. Gee thanks Jerry, we never knew that before.

Edit, something I forgot, he mentioned several times that the "game plan" against AZ was to not turn the ball over. That's the justification for being so conservative. How TF is not turning the ball over a "game plan" in anything but maybe terrible weather? Total insanity.

Uh, “too bad,” isn’t the right phrase you’re looking for. Wade was terrible.

Yeah. They kept it quiet. Did a good job because I actually forgot about the farce until I saw the article that said they split. Such a wierd thing it was. Belichiks demeanor and someone being attracted to that ( i know it was about the money but still) was weirder to me than the age difference. I say attracted but maybe being able to stand being arou d someone like that is better suited. Just too awkward even talking to reporters about football.
