Extenuating circumstances matter a lot, I wouldn't just can him short of truly underachieving/losing the team.

Booze is right that this team is beginning to smell itself. Schotty's right in the middle of it talking about how talented the roster is. The 2008 team was talented, shit before the season people thought it was loaded.

Now that was a colossal coaching fuck up.

I remember that 1998 Washington team that signed Dana Stubblefield and Dan Wilkinson and they already had Michael Westbrook, Chris Dishman and some other star names and you should have seen their fans fellating themselves over how amazing their team was going to be. They finished 6-10 and I laughed at them the whole season. They just hadn't formed a team at any level.

Same thing happened in 2000 when they added Deion Sanders to the mix. Good lord their fans were rimming each other.
8-8.

But sometimes you need time for things to gel, and with the NFC super-competitive, all the wildcards could easily come from the West and North.

That's fair, I'll say if we aren't at least 10-7 he should be gone, barring major injuries.
 
I'm so beaten down this all reminds me of Jerry's 2008 offseason where he felt the team was so talented that they were bound to go on a deep playoff run.

He kept telling players that year to "enjoy the journey"-- even had Romo parroting that shat

Back to today, we're starting to hear multiple different players jizzing themselves about their "talent level", and it's pissing me off. Feels like that narrative is coming from on high again, as I think even Schotty mentioned the talent level.

Yeah they’ll probably get full of themselves and not work hard and end up underachieving.
