I watched the first ten minutes plus the entire cowboys segment. It was basically an overview of each position. Honestly in my opinion he didn't say anything particularly interesting.

In case this isn't obvious since it is being presented ambiguously, this appears to be nothing more than vapid sports talk radio fodder and complete speculation from Belt. I don't think there's an actual report that the cowboys are either looking at backup QBs currently or at Pennix specifically.

My own opinion for the record is that we shouldn't be worried about backup QB. We've gone with Cooper f'ing Rush (@Sheik ) as our primary backup before and survived it. Both these guys are upgrades from that.

Generally I think we're fine with either backup if Dak goes down for a couple games or so, and screwed if Dak gets a season ender.

But we'd likely be screwed no matter what backup QB we have, including Pennix or any other realistic backup option we could muster. And that's true of most teams.

Especially a team built like ours that's really centered around the offense and the QB's play. I'm hopeful the defense is better but they aren't going to win us any games with out drastic improvement. Which also sort of makes it hard for the running game to just carry the offense, because the defense has to sort of be good for that to work.
