2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

I think Flournoy has a good shot to be a very solid 3, 500 yards and 4 TD's out of a young guy who only took hold of the WR3 spot about halfway through the year is pretty impressive.
Sometimes I read too quick.

For a second I thought you said Flournoy had a good shot to get 3,500 yards and 4 TD's.

I was about to ask you for whatever you had to smoke this morning.

I see there’s a rumor Cowboys could sign Stefan Diggs. I’m down for that.

Fake news by the way. This is coming from some dude from SB Nation throwing shit against the wall. It's not an actual rumor or report, he's predicting based on a very limited understanding of the cowboys depth chart.

I hope he takes a big step this year. Too often last year when he was rushing the qb, he was literally picked up and rag dolled by the lineman. I don't necessarily think it's a size problem either. I think his technique was often bad in relation to how he attacked the line of scrimmage. He has some talent and lots of athleticism but it needs to be focused and refined.

We'd honestly have to be seriously jinxed if he doesn't.

Every indicator--
  • high statistical "pressure" rate
  • college production and elite shuttle and 3-cone combine numbers
  • variety of pass rush moves and hand placement
  • technique vs the run
  • supporting cast around and in front of him: Williams, Clark, Gary, Overshown
  • borderline irrational organizational commitment to high draft choices
--tells us he's going to be on the field a lot and he's going to have every opportunity to take the next step.

The only downside I see is a lack of explosiveness and punch and speed, whether it's that last bit of NFL strength, toughness, agility, and power that simply takes time to be added or just more reps, but I see no reason he won't keep improving at this early, early point in his career.

I expect better than last year

Fingers crossed that the sacks start coming too

But if his sacks don't jump to the 7-10 range, I would say he's behind schedule and the team needs to seriously develop a competitive option.
