I'm fairly certain we're going to have the best interior OL in the league this year if we can keep Smith at LG. We just need this idiot Guyton to be an average or above average LT and our OL should be elite.

I disagree, he needs to improve and stay healthy. If he doesn't improve I don't think he's even an average starting LT.

Honestly if he doesn't improve this year I'd just get rid of him after the season for whatever we can get in a trade. He's surrounded by elite interior OL and has Tyron Smith basically personally mentoring him, if it doesn't happen now it never will.

I also thought the Carl Nicks/Jahri Evans comp that Long made was interesting. They had really good OL's for a stretch there when they won the SB and it was largely built around the interior with average or so OT's like Stinchcomb and Bushrod.

I could easily see us replicating something like that with the two Tyler's on the inside.

We have been hitting on our first round OL for awhile now and we were bound to get a dud.

Now Im not totally writing him off yet but I have my doubts.

Why?

I'm fairly certain we're going to have two of the top 5 OG's in the league (at least) as soon as this September.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were 2 of the top 3 within a year or two.

I have been wanting to do a memorial banner for Carl, Rant, and Jsmith. I was thinking something kinda like our normal banner but with their avs in the banner somehow. I have jsmith's and Carl's. Does anyone remember what Rant used to sport as his av?
