I just did a quote for an E. Garrett. Her son's name is Jason. I felt icky at first, and then I softly chuckled to myself at the thought of Garrett still living with his mom.

Aside from injuries I think the season will swing on two dummies on offense, Blue and Guyton.

If they both step up we might contend for a SB, if neither steps up I think we'll still be a strong division contender who might win one playoff game, if one steps up (Guyton especially) I think we could contend for the NFCC.

Why not?

Our only weakness offensively is OT and RB depth, aside from that we have a top 10 QB, maybe the best WR duo in the league, a top 5 interior OL, and a borderline Pro Bowl starting RB.

Add a competent LT and RB2 to that and we could contend for a SB with an average defense.

30 years of evidence says we shouldn't even be talking about it until we can even make it past the 2nd round.
 
Here at work there is this guy that I had my doubts about. He told me he was a Cowboys fan and as young as he is I figured he was one of those kind of fans. But, after talking to him more about it, he is as in tune with the team as we are. It's going to be nice to have that kind of person to talk to about the team outside of this board. He is the first one I have found outside of my cousin who owns this agency.

When I say things like that I mean on paper our roster would easily be good enough to go that far, I can't account for the nonsensical toxic atmosphere that Jerry fosters.

Yea, I'd say over the last 20 years we've had probably at least 3-4 SB caliber teams, this could be another one if Guyton and Blue pan out, assuming the defense is roughly average and not either absolute shit or somehow top 5-10.

Obviously they haven't made it there for various reasons, mostly Jerry.
