2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

Right. But all we heard that was offered by us at first was 20 and Osa. The Ravens didn't take long to make their offer. Did we make the other two better offers after the Ravens backed out? That's the way it sounds to me. I doubt we made all three of those offers before the Ravens were involved, or we would have heard about it.

I think the Cowboys were bidding against the Ravens and other teams. I don't think we offered anything after we made the trade for Gary.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean he is allowed to share that information with the Cowboys if he was doing it for the Ravens...
You are talking about something else now. bbgun said it was the Cowboys physician that flunked him and you said allegedly. No, the Cowboys doc is without a doubt the one that flunked him.

Then why was only the trade offer involving Osa reported? I think the Ravens came in and blew them away. Then when they backed out, we came in and raised our offer, but keeping it below what the Ravens initially offered.

No, he said we backed out of offering anything after that because Dr. Cooper flunked him, I said allegedly because Doctor Cooper may not have been legally able to share that information with the Cowboys. It was my way of being a smartass. I'm sure Dr. Cooper off the record told the Cowboys whatever.

I don't believe that's true. I heard about the trade offer back when the Ravens offer was still accepted. Supposedly the Raiders had no interest in Osa either by the way. I think they were in sort of rebuild mode and not looking for a player in return. Although their free agency appears to contradict that.

The offer of Osa in that trade I think is what really sparked the 49ers to then come calling with a trade offer to us once they realized that Osa was a trade candidate.

Don't forget Crosby could well still be traded. And if we really had the second best offer... :tippytoe
